uKnowva, with its continuous improvement, has always introduced new features that make the user’s life easier. The latest in this line of improvements is the PDF Renderer. This renderer has been created so that the user does not have to download PDF documents in order to view them.

Almost all browsers have PDF renderers. So what’s special in uKnowva’s PDF Renderer? The specialty is that this renderer provides security over the Internet. It can be configured in such a way that you can prevent users from printing or downloading the document being read.

Features in the PDF Renderer

The renderer is installed in uKnowva as a plug-in and can be enabled/disabled like the other plug-ins by the administrator as required. It has the usual option of being enabled or disabled. The other options available are to allow/disallow download, printing, copying and right click. What’s more, these options are available individually. Two additional options available are selecting files that have to be printed by default and viewing document properties like the author name, file size etc.

This kind of security for online PDF renderers has not been available anywhere before and in implementing this feature uKnowva has taken a step towards securing online data even further.
